The Swim School at St Peter's, Cambridge is the proud recipient of New Zealand's Most Outstanding Swim School Award for 2021 (1001-2000 Swimmers).
Due to COVID, this honour was announced via Zoom at the 2021 Annual General Meeting of NZSCTA (New Zealand Swim Coaches and Teachers Association) on Saturday.
Under the direction of the new Director of Aquatics, Ben Feinberg-Danieli, the Swim School undertook an evolution over the past 18 months, to ensure it was offering the highest quality of teaching. With efficient customer service, a very effective and inspiring educational programme, and dedicated instructors, performing excellence day in and day out, the Award recognises these qualities.
The vision of the Swim School at St Peter’s is "to inspire every child to swim through innovative teaching methods." The team are motivated to always stay ahead by constantly learning and searching worldwide for new, creative, and better ways to teach their swimmers.
Head Teacher, Rachel Challis comments, "teaching kids how to swim is what we love, do best and enjoy the most. We are passionate about teaching our students the skill of swimming and have developed a top-level educational programme with comprehensive training systems. Our staff are knowledgeable, committed, friendly, and enthusiastic, with all team members taking great pride in their work and the Swim School's outstanding performance." The Swim School operates out of a state-of-the-art facility at St Peter's, Cambridge. The Swim School is open to the broader community 6 days per week (Mon-Sat) and offers swimming lessons to most age groups and abilities from as early as 3 months.
